Renolyde Desert

Renolyde is an expansive desert that completely covers the Tylanian continent. Its harsh climate has rendered the desert to barely more than a barren wasteland. Renolyde is also home to the bainson, a race of reptilian humanoids blessed with the powers of darkness magic by their deity, Margol the God of Darkness. 

Biome The desert biome of Renolyde is considered by many to be the most grueling and draining region to live in, outside of the Deadlands of course. A permanent solar eclipse has cast an unending night over both Renolyde and the Sand Sea. Vast dunes as tall as any mountain litter the landscape and ferocious sandstorms rage across the desert on a daily basis. 

Climate per season The Renolyde Desert is a hot and arid wasteland all year long. It does not rain or snow, and its only forms of weather are sandstorms and tornadoes. 

Natural Resources Being the barren wasteland that it is, there are no natural resources on the desert’s surface. The only resources are the minerals and fungi found in the caverns underground. 

Flora Being the barren wasteland that it is, there are no plants that grow on the desert’s surface. The plant life on the continent are the various fungi found in the caverns underground. 

Fauna Due to Renolyde’s harsh environment and shortage on water sources like lakes and rivers, there is next to no natural wildlife in Renolyde. 

Monsters The general lack of competition from the bainson and regular wildlife has made the surface of the Renolyde Desert a haven for monsters that thrive in harsh environments. One of the most common types of monsters encountered in this desert are the Sand Sharks that swim through the colossal dunes as easily as fish swims through water. 

Race The predominant race native to the Renolyde Desert are the bainson who are a race of reptilian humanoids blessed with darkness magic by their patron deity, Margol, the God of Darkness. 

Continent The Renolyde Desert spans the entire Tylanian continent, which lies beyond the Western Ocean. 

Border Regions Renolyde is an expansive desert range that completely covers the Tylanian continent past the Western Ocean. Since it covers the entire continent and the nearest land mass are the Thundull Mountains beyond the Sand Sea and the Western Ocean, Renolyde does not share its borders with any other region. 

Deity Margol, the God of Darkness, holds dominion over the Renolyde Desert.
