Sereaz Archipelago

The Sereaz Archipelago is a region of loosely connected islands in the Southern Ocean. Sereaz is also home to the dygua, a race of amphibian humanoids blessed with the powers of water magic by their deity, Osuwain the Goddess of Water.

Biome The archipelago is a region of loosely connected islands. While the islands vary in size, the hot and humid air throughout the Southern Ocean has led to each island hosting its own fair share of tropical plants. For most islands, if someone stood on the beach on one side, they would be able to see the opposing beach if not for the trees, cliffs etc.

Climate per season The Sereaz Archipelago is hot and humid year-round and is also subjected to some of the worse storms any region experiences like hurricanes. When the region is not being battered by a storm, every day is bright and sunny. It does not snow in this region.

Natural Resources Sereaz is a region rich with resources. Most islands grow tropical fruit like coconuts and bananas, while their trees produce some of the finest ship building lumber in the world. Since the dygua are amphibians, they are also the only race able to capitalize on the various resources located underwater, such as special seaweeds that are used spices and medicines in other realms.

Flora The flora on the islands is tropical in nature, such as the coconut trees that appear on many islands. The region also has a wide variety of underwater flora, such as the coral reefs that appear across the realm.

Fauna The islands in the area have their own fair share of wildlife, such as many types of birds and the koloa bears that call the coconut trees home. However, the biological diversity shines brightest when one considers the marine life that live just under the surface. There is a near limitless number of different types of marine life that live in the Sereaz Archipelago like fish, octopus, whales and sharks.

Monsters While the majority of the islands do not live in fear of the monsters that reside upon them, the same cannot be said for the denizens of the deep. Indeed, many sailors say that these monstrous creatures are the reason behind why Sereaz is so plagued by storms. Tales of monsters like the davin’jo, a hideous gelatinous blob that takes its victims by surprise in the dead of night by gradually replacing the waters a vessel is sailing through. Then, by the time the crew has realized they have stopped moving, it is already too late. But of course there can be no forgetting the tales of legendary monsters like the kraken. Truly to sail the world’s oceans is to court death.

Race The predominant race native to Sereaz are the dygua who are a race of amphibian humanoids blessed with water magic by their patron deity, Osuwain, the Goddess of Water.

Continent The Sereaz Archipelago spans the vast portion of the Southern Ocean.

Border Regions Given that Sereaz is series of islands in the middle of the ocean it does not share its borders with any other region.

Deity Osuwain, the Goddess of Water, holds dominion over the Sereaz Archipelago.
