Indyl
The indyl are the only race of humans in the world of Liravithyn. They are native to the tropical jungles of Accdor in the lower half of the Syntallis continent. Their patron deity is the God-King Zarian, and they can use fire magic thanks to his Blessing.
While every indyl has topaz eyes, their natural hair color is dependent on the strength of their Blessing. Every indyl born as a Stricken has ashen hair, while every Lowborn has blond hair, every Adept has black hair, every Highborn has brown hair and every Touched has red hair. The shades of these colors vary from person to person, but every shade falls within the given spectrum. On average the height of a grown indyl man is five feet ten inches tall and the average height for a grown indyl woman is five feet five inches tall. Their complexion differs throughout the region with those living in the northern provinces having paler skin than the indyl who live in southern Accdor. In regards to aging, their average lifespan is eighty-seven years, but some of the oldest Indyl record lived into their one-hundred and thirties.
Fashion
Traditional Indyl garb consists of simple clothing such as robes, togas and tunics, but thanks to years of trade with the other races, modern Indyl garb is a bit more diverse. The attire of the more impoverished consists mainly of simple cottons such as shirts and pants, while the more endowed wear embroidered doublets, jerkins, surcoats, dresses and the like. While the fashion of both the common man and aristocrats alike changes throughout the years, the attire for those working in many of Accdor's established institutions has not. For example those of the clergy wear the same types of ceremonial robes that those who founded The Faith did during Accdor's earliest days. The senators that oversee Accdor's administration still wear the same black spidersilk togas their predecessors wore, and the soldiers of the Holy Army still wear black leather and polished steel.
